Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Herd Chaser LLC ("Herd Chaser," "we," "us") governing your use of herdchaser.com and the Herd Chaser application at app.herdchaser.com (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Herd Chaser is a ranch and herd management tool for tracking cattle, calving, tasks, pastures, and ranch finances. The Services are currently offered as an invite-only beta, and features may change, be added, or be removed as the product develops.

2. Beta Status

During the beta period, the Services are provided free of charge and may contain bugs, errors, or interruptions. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue beta features at any time. We appreciate your feedback, and you grant us the right to use suggestions you provide to improve the Services without obligation to you.

3. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are for individuals or ranch operations; you may invite ranch hands or family members to your operation as permitted by the app's features, and you are responsible for their use.

4. Your Data

You own the data you enter into Herd Chaser — your herd records, financial entries, and operational information. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Services to you. We will not sell your ranch data. You may export your data, and you may request deletion of your account and data at any time. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Services. This includes attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfering with or disrupting the Services, reverse-engineering the software, using the Services to send spam or unlawful content, or reselling access without our written permission.

6. Subscriptions & Payment

When paid plans launch, pricing, billing cycles, renewal, and cancellation terms will be described at the point of purchase and in an updated version of these Terms. Beta participants will be notified before any charges begin, and continued use of paid features after that notice will require an active subscription.

7. Important Disclaimer — Ranch Management Decisions

Herd Chaser is a record-keeping and organization tool. It is not veterinary, agronomic, financial, tax, or legal advice. Livestock management decisions — including breeding, health treatment, grazing, culling, and financial decisions — are yours alone. We are not responsible for losses to livestock, pasture, equipment, or income arising from reliance on information stored in or produced by the Services, including in the event of data inaccuracy, loss, or service interruption. Maintain appropriate independent records for critical information such as regulatory, tax, and veterinary compliance.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Herd Chaser and its owners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or livestock losses, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred dollars ($100).

10. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the Herd Chaser name, logo, software, and design, are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or discontinue the Services with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including data ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or through the Services before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
